SEPCO Team Exhibited and Presented During iPBS 2021
After being cancelled last year because of the COVIC-19 pandemic, the International Powder & Bulk Solids (iPBS) show was in-person in 2021. At Booth 3521, our team had great discussions with attendees and gave away a fun Yeti cooler.
Our Technology at the Show
During the exhibition, we displayed our air seal technology, proven to completely seal powders and slurries in any process industry. We also talked about our copper packing ring and v-set packing, recently featured in a Processing magazine article.

Nucor, a steel manufacturer, had a problem keeping steel dust out of their poppet valves. The team added a copper packing ring to wipe the poppet valve rod and changed the other packing it was using. They replaced it with a V-packing set made up of a special blend of polytetrafluoroethylene, carbon and molybdenum sulfide. With this hearty packing in place and the copper packing ring wiping the rod to keep the abrasive dust away from the V-sets vast improvements were measured.
On Wednesday, August 25, Zach Nepa, one of our sealing and reliability experts, presented on how to contain difficult-to-seal powders and slurries. He may even compare these problem materials to zombies. You can download the presentation PDF here.
Sponsorship
During the 2021 conference, we were honored to sponsor the educational tracks. The training and focus on reliable equipment operation were a highlight of the event.
The 2023 Show
We already have plans to exhibit during the 2023 show, April 25 – 27, in Chicago. We hope to see you there!
