In Memoriam: SEPCO President Garry Dodson



Garry DodsonThe SEPCO team mourns the loss of Garry “Boss” Dodson who passed away on November 24, 2021. Garry left behind his amazing wife, Pamela Roberson Dodson, and his loving family. Memorial services were held on November 28, 2021.

Garry was devoted to SEPCO for 57 years and was the inventor of the Seat-It packing installation tool, which revolutionized industrial packing installation. Beginning at the company at the age of 21, he rose to the position of president. For health reasons, Garry retired from this role with SEPCO shortly before his death.

Colleague Remembrances

According to Chuck Tanner, SEPCO director of market development, Garry Dodson was his mentor. “He was truly a pioneer in the industry. He taught me the things that weren’t in the book.”

“The SEPCO team really misses Garry’s camaraderie,” SEPCO CEO Chris Wilder said. “I worked closely with him for almost 35 years and always counted on him as a sage and calm source of wisdom. I’ll miss seeing him. Our relationship was significant in my life.”

Garry had a kind and humble heart. Everyone was better for having known him, and he will be missed by us all.
