Focus on Packing and Air Seals at WEFTEC 2021

During WEFTEC 2021, David Brewer talked with Pumps & Systems about the ideal way to install industrial braided packing. This method ensures even loading across all packing rings.

David also talked about slurry applications at WEFTEC 2021. They often cannot use packing. An air seal is the best sealing technology for slurry applications. The entrained particles and frequent shaft deflection in these applications may cause problems with packing or traditional mechanical seals.
