SEPCO is hiring a Shipping Clerk for our manufacturing facility in Alabaster. Shipping Clerk Responsibilities

The Shipping Clerk is responsible for preparing, packaging, labeling, and shipping customer orders accurately and efficiently while maintaining SEPCO’s safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Packaging and labeling outgoing shipments
• Preparing shipping documentation and invoices
• Scheduling pickups and deliveries with carriers
• Tracking shipments using computer systems
• Operating forklifts and lift trucks safely
• Maintaining inventory and warehouse organization
• Ensuring products arrive safely and on time
• Supporting team-based warehouse and shipping operations

This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Qualifications for the Shipping Clerk Position

Qualified candidates should possess:

• Experience in shipping, warehouse, or manufacturing operations
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Computer and data entry experience
• Forklift or lift truck operation experience
• Ability to multitask and prioritize workflow
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• A team-oriented attitude and commitment to safety

Experience in industrial manufacturing or shipping operations is preferred.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

• Stand for extended periods
• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Work in industrial warehouse conditions
• Perform repetitive physical tasks safely and efficiently
