Pump Air Seal System for Slurries

Slurry sealing poses some of the harshest environments for seals. A new pump air seal system for centrifugal pumps withstands many conditions that can kill pumps and seals, including:

• Pipe strain
• Misalignment
• Off-BEP operation
• Cavitation

This complete system includes a split air seal, two shaft-supporting bushings, and a lantern ring. The system also won a 2020 Breakthrough Product Award from Processing.
