SEPCO Cartridge Mounted Double Seal (CMD)
The SEPCO CMD is a multiple cartridge-mounted seal designed for extreme application conditions. This heavy-duty design mounts externally on equipment with ample first obstruction space. It can be designed with additional radial clearances for use on equipment with excessive shaft deflection and offers reliable operation on vertical-mounted shafts.
Custom Designed & Manufactured: Meets specific application parameters outside the operating capabilities of
off-the-shelf cartridge-mounted multiple seals.
Multiple Seal Design: Allows for installation on high-pressures, where hazardous, abrasive, non-lubricating products
are pumped that require flushing without product dilution.
Reciprocally Balanced: The inboard seal is designed to permit the seal to operate in either a double or tandem mode.
This allows for positive lubrication and prevents failures caused by pressure surges from system upsets.
Pumping Ring with Tangentially Drilled Flush Ports: This feature allows the CMD to remove accumulated heat from
the double seal cavity for cooler operation and extended reliability making it ideal for use on closed-loop flush systems.
Isolated Multiple Springs: A common set of multiple springs allows the CMD to handle more axial movement than conventional multiple cartridge mounted seals, provides even loads, and are isolated from the process fluid.
