Production Worker Responsibilities

The Production Worker is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations by setting up, operating, and monitoring machinery used in yarn winding and twisting processes. This role helps ensure products meet SEPCO’s quality, production, and safety standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Threading yarn and materials through production equipment
• Starting and monitoring spinning and twisting machinery
• Adjusting machine controls, speeds, and tension settings
• Inspecting products for quality and specification compliance
• Monitoring machinery performance and identifying maintenance needs
• Recording production and spool data accurately
• Communicating material needs to supervisors
• Maintaining safe and efficient production operations

This position requires attention to detail, mechanical awareness, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications for the Production Worker Position

Qualified candidates should possess:

• Manufacturing or industrial production experience preferred
• Knowledge of production processes and quality control standards
• Ability to follow operational procedures and workplace safety guidelines
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrated reliability and strong work ethic

Candidates should also be comfortable working around industrial machinery and production equipment.

Physical Requirements

This role requires employees to:

• Stand for extended periods
• Perform repetitive production tasks
• Lift or carry up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Work in industrial manufacturing conditions including heat, noise, dust, vibration, oils, and fumes
• Wear required PPE including respirators, gloves, and Tyvek suits
